We were the first Argentine tannery to be awarded an ISO 9002 certificate for a Quality Management System (version 1994) on 1998. Subsequently, we have obtained other certifications such as:
• On 2000: QS 9000 (US automotive industry norm)
• On 2001: ISO/TS 16949:1999 (automotive industry)

    We have a modern laboratory with the equipment needed for chemical, physical and endurance tests that are requested by the world’s largest automakers. These include tensile strength and tear resistance, different types of abrasion or wear resistance, fogging test, water vapor permeability, different types of fastness such as light, rub and heat fastness. Skilled personnel monitor each leather batch before being shipped to the client and the information is saved to guarantee full traceability.
    Fonseca has internal auditors, which perform periodically quality, environmental management, and, health and safety audits not only in Fonseca but also supplier companies that provide us with goods and services with the aim of improving commercial relationships progressively and implementing joint action plans.
